Not all prefectures have their own interpreter guide associations. The following prefectures do not have confirmed independent association websites:
Akita, Miyagi, Gunma, Saitama, Chiba, Tokyo, Kanagawa, Toyama, Gifu, Aichi, Mie, Shiga, Tottori, Okayama, Yamaguchi, Tokushima, Kagawa, Ehime, Kochi, Saga, Nagasaki, Kumamoto, Oita, Miyazaki, Kagoshima
In these regions, interpreter guides can be found through each prefecture’s tourism office or international exchange association, or through nationwide organizations (such as JGA, JFG, etc.). The Japan Tourism Agency’s “Interpreter Guide Registration Information Search Service” also allows searches for registered guides nationwide.
