Around 2000, I began assisting my maternal grandfather, Tomoo Kinoshita, with our ancestral research.
As part of the business of the family mutual aid corporation I represent, I began full-scale ancestral research in March 2015. With a policy of searching for all direct ancestors regardless of surname or lineage, I discovered thousands of ancestors (5000 over) within a few months, primarily through my father’s family, the Aizu Tomida clan, who married into Kinoshita.
